Connecting Coody tents: choose the right connector

Universal and Aurora-to-8.0 connectors serve different combinations. Start with the two exact shelters.

A connected Coody tent campsite

A connected camp can give sleeping and shared living their own spaces. The important decision comes before the connection: identify both shelters and match them to the correct accessory.

Start with the model and version

Write down the full name of each tent, including any PRO suffix. If you already own one, keep a photo of its entrance and attachment points. Similar-looking openings do not establish that two tents use the same connection.

Two connector choices to understand

The Universal Tent Connector listing names Coody 10, 13.6, 17.2 and Hub. Use that named model list as the starting point, then check the entrance and version for the proposed pair. It is not a blanket claim that every PRO generation is covered.

Aurora Dome to 8.0 uses a dedicated connector. This is a different item from the Universal Connector. If your 8.0 is an earlier version, ask us to confirm the attachment before ordering.

Plan the space between the shelters

Look at the combined footprint, the direction of the entrances and the routes people will use to enter and leave. Decide which space is for sleeping, which is for gathering and where gear will go. Pitch and secure each shelter according to the applicable Coody instructions.

Do not infer installation steps or compatibility from a campsite photograph. A film may show another generation or an accessory purchased separately. Use the listing and instructions for the exact items in your own setup.

Check before purchase

Send both model names, versions and entrance photos through Contact Coody. Connectors are separate unless the selected package explicitly includes them. For the six core layouts and the available connector products, start with the tent and connector guide.
